So as not to offend my sister who 'tagged' me. (I cringed when I typed that
blogish word.) I will submit my answers to the following request:
"List 3 joys, 3 fears, 3 collections/obsessions, surprising facts."
3 joys1. hanging out with Rachel.
2. kiddos
3. problem solving.
3 fears1. not being able to formulate answers to basic questions, like "What are three fears you have?"
2. fear itself?
3. I think this is a bit gay.
3 obsessions/collections1. State Quarters, I started this when the kids were little, so I thought I'd do them the service of collecting for them, I started five collections in 1999. Each time we added a kid, I've had to add another set. Now, obviously, I have eight sets.
2. When I traveled and when I was younger, I collected matchbooks. We had a tall vase full of matchbooks. Lame.
3. stumped again. I'm not much of a sharer.
3 surprising facts
1. I know
alot of Barry
Manilow songs. I blame my mom and sisters, but I
know the songs.
1A. Barry
Manilow was a song writer first, he wrote most of his songs, but one he
didn't write was "I Write the Songs." Surprising and ironic!!
2. I have lived in Arizona for more of my adult life than California. (I am shrugging my shoulders with a 'that's the breaks' look on my face.)
3. I never want to be on t.v. or quoted in the paper. Every so often as we start a new job in a high profile place, the
newsies will set up and want to film one of their one minute spots where they interview 'Joe six-pack construction-worker' and manipulate what ever the poor sod says to fit their view point. I find great pleasure in shooing them away. As the wannabe
Geraldo is walking away he'll spout off a, "you could have been on T.V.!" Yeah, what a drag to blow my big chance.
Once, I was caught in a quasi bomb scare situation were a newspaper reporter was asking me questions. She was nice, so I obliged. After her Barbra Walter-
esque line of questions she asked me for my name, I declined. She asked me why not and I told her to "call me the concerned community member". She looked at me funny then I told her I didn't want my name in her stupid liberal propaganda publication. She walked away and I don't think she used my comments.
